Miss Julie - Naach Theatre Company - 2003
MISS JULIE August Strindberg : undoubtedly one of Strindberg’s greatest and most haunting plays, was transported to India’s colonial past, to the time of the crumbling Mogul gentry, where Miss Julie is the last in a dying line of nobility. The friction between the forbidden passion and social status was never more apparent than in this era of Indian history. The heat, humidity, sounds and smells of India were used to drive up the tension, and the nightmarish distortion of the senses were pivital to this production. http://www.naachtheatre.com/missjulie.html
